“What?” he asked, curious.
“I couldn’t stop thinking about how much more special it would have been if you were there with me,” April said, her eyes filled with love.
Mark smiled and kissed her forehead. “Next time, I promise I’ll be there with you, catching those waves and watching the sunset. It’ll be our day.”
